Citizenship Informational Session

Learn about the process of becoming a U.S. citizen! In partnership with the NALEO Educational Fund and the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), I am sponsoring a free informational session for individuals interested in naturalization.

The session will cover the following topics:

  • Eligibility requirements
  • The naturalization process
  • Fee waivers
  • Naturalization test and interview tips
  • How to obtain free application assistance

The session will provide essential information about naturalization. Assistance filling out naturalization forms will not be given at this time.

Holiday Book Fair & Book Drive

Come and celebrate the holidays and the spirit of giving at our Holiday Book Fair and Drive.

It will be a fun filled evening where you can meet local authors and enjoy holiday activities with the whole family.

Some of the amazing authors that are joining us include Sandra Gonzalez-Mora, the brilliant mind behind "Mommy, Tell Me Why I Am Radiant / Mami, ¿dime por qué soy radiante?" and Mikki Hernandez, author of "Cake Mix: Learning to Love All Your Ingredients".

In the spirit of giving, our Book Drive aims to spread the joy of reading. Your generous donations will help us build a community of readers and nurture a love for literature in those who need it most.

Ensuring the safety of our senior community from scammers is essential, as we often face rapid technology innovation and transformations. Providing access to resources and tools is essential to help prevent the chances of fraudulent activities in today's connected world.

Please join me in partnership with the Contractors State License Board, the Department of Financial Protection, the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a seminar to provide you with information on identity theft, mail fraud, Medicare scams and illegal foreign lotteries.

Earth Day Bike Ride

On Saturday, April 23 participants will meet at Hollydale Regional Park in South Gate and ride down the LA River Bike Path to Ralph C. Dills Park in Paramount and back, this will be about 4 miles round-trip (20 - 30 minutes).

Earth Day Cleanup and Resource Fair

Grab your buckets and gloves on Saturday, April 16 for a Community Cleanup and Resource Fair. Help clean the LA River and experience first-hand the wildlife that call the riverbed their home. At the resource fair, you can learn more on the proper ways to recycle, how to take care of the environment, and keep the community green. Additionally, you can join in on some fun and environmentally friendly activities using recyclable materials.
