(Los Angeles) – California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) brought his lecture series to UCLA for a discussion around the concept of "California Exceptionalism," the idea that generations of people come to California because it's a beacon of freedom and opportunity, and whether that idea takes on greater significance in the current national landscape. Joining Speaker Rendon for the conversation were UCLA professors, muralist Judy Baca and theater director Peter Sellars, along with acclaimed Los Angeles architect Frank Gehry.
