(Los Angeles) – California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) brought his lecture series to UCLA for a discussion around the concept of "California Exceptionalism," the idea that generations of people come to California because it's a beacon of freedom and opportunity, and whether that idea takes on greater significance in the current national landscape. Speaker Rendon’s guests included: UCLA professors, muralist Judy Baca and theater director Peter Sellars, along with acclaimed Los Angeles architect Frank Gehry.
