(Sacramento) – In what has become a tradition for legislative leaders in California, Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount) appeared before the Sacramento Press Club to provide insight into how he will handle his new duties as leader of the Assembly and what his hopes and goals are for the upcoming years. Speaker Rendon spoke at length about “POP” – an acronym to describe three areas he wants to address during his time as Speaker – poverty, oversight and participation. He also fielded questions from the packed house at the Grand Plaza Ballroom. Here’s Speaker Rendon’s address to the SPC in this Assembly Access video.
