(Sacramento) – Legislation from incoming Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) to create a comprehensive restoration plan for the Lower Los Angeles River is now in place and Speaker-elect Rendon is hopeful the local working group tasked with updating the L.A. River Master Plan will find a way to restore the Lower River in much the same way as the Upper LA River has been restored. “The Lower River runs through communities desperately in need of open space and recreational opportunities,” Rendon said. “AB 530 kick starts the process for improving the quality of life of millions of residents along the Lower River.”
