Assemblymember Rendon Distributes School Supplies, Hosts Early Childhood Education Forum

(Bell, CA) – A huge crowd of parents, children, and community leaders filled the Bell Community Center for an Early Childhood Education Forum hosted by Assemblymember Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood).  The event was the first of its kind in the Southeast Cities that informed the community of free and low-cost early childhood education services available for children zero to five years of age. The event included presentations from the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, the Los Angeles Unified School District and Assemblymember Rendon who is a former Early Childhood Education non-profit executive. Following the presentations Assemblymember Rendon and others distributed backpacks full of school supplies to the children in attendance. Assemblymember Rendon says, “Early Childhood Education is important to be because of my background and the impact Early Childhood Education Services can have on our community.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
