SACRAMENTO — Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) today announced the appointment of the following individuals to the Community College Student Success Funding Formula Oversight Committee:
Angelica Garcia, 42, of Oakland, is vice president of student services at Skyline College.
Liz Guillen, 65, of Sacramento, is director of legislative and community affairs at Public Advocates, Inc.
John McDowell, 74, of Los Angeles, is adjunct professor of labor studies at Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
Dianne Van Hook, 68, of Santa Clarita, is chancellor of College of the Canyons.
The committee was formed pursuant to Assembly Bill 1840 (Chapter 426, Statutes of 2018), which specified that the Assembly Speaker would appoint four members of the community to this committee.
Members of the committee serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for the actual and necessary traveling expenses plus $100 per diem.
