Speaker Rendon Reacts to Assembly Passing 2018-19 State Budget

For immediate release:

SACRAMENTO – The California Assembly today approved the state's 2018-19 budget. The balanced, on-time budget includes record funding for schools, emergency funds for local governments to address homelessness, investments to lift children out of poverty, and budget reserves that are larger than the general fund budgets of 33 other states.

Following passage of the budget, Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) said, "This balanced, on-time budget strengthens California's fiscal stability, addresses many of the key challenges facing our state, and makes important investments in our future. I think I'd be justified in saying that's a pretty impressive triple crown.”
