For immediate release:

Rendon commends the Governor for his emphasis on responsible budgeting and his willingness to work with the Legislature on strategic investments.

SACRAMENTO – Assembly Speaker-Elect Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount) issued the following statement after Governor Brown delivered the State of the State address:

“I was pleased the Governor continued his emphasis on responsible budgeting, while also exhibiting a willingness to work with the Legislature on strategic investments that move us toward a better state for all. Among them is his call to focus on our infrastructure – our parks, schools, roads and public facilities – that has been neglected far too long.

“As the Assembly embarks on our budget committee and subcommittee process, I welcome all Californians to submit input to their representatives so the final budget can truly be a document that embodies our values as Californians.”
