SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) issued the following statement after the veto of Assembly Bills 825, 895 and 1023, his legislative package seeking reforms to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC):
“I am disappointed by the Governor’s veto of my CPUC reform package. We need to rebuild the public’s trust in their government. Each and every day dysfunction continues at the CPUC, that trust erodes. Reforms must be made to the CPUC, and I look forward to working with Gov. Brown to ensure they are implemented.”
Assemblyman Anthony Rendon is chair of the Assembly Committee on Utilities and Commerce. Rendon is serving in his second term representing the 63rd Assembly District, which includes the cities and communities of Bell, Cudahy, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, North Long Beach, Lynwood, Maywood, Paramount, and South Gate.
