Sacramento, CA – In response to the Governor’s State of the State, Assembly Member Anthony Rendon issued the following statement.
“I applaud Governor Brown for his strong commitment to creating jobs, providing better access to education, expanding affordable health and responsibly managing water. These issues are of vital importance to the constituents of the 63rd Assembly District. Many of the communities in my district face double-digit unemployment, under-funded schools struggling to meet the needs of students, families facing above-average asthma rates, and residents who can’t get access to reliable, clean and safe drinking water.
I appreciate the Governor’s Spartan, no-nonsense approach to solving our state’s problems. I join him in calling for visionary but measured governance and I look forward to working with him on the many important issues that face the state.”
Assembly Member Anthony Rendon was elected to the Legislature in November of 2012 to represent the 63rd Assembly District. The 63rd Assembly District covers the cities and communities of Bell, Cudahy, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, North Long Beach, Lynwood, Maywood, Paramount, and South Gate. Assembly Member Rendon serves on the following committees: Budget; Public Employees, Retirement and Social Security; Joint Legislative Audit Committee; Utilities and Commerce; and Water, Parks and Wildlife.
