Assembly Democrats Lead Charge to Pass Climate Change Legislation

(Sacramento) – Assembly Democrats overwhelmingly approved Senate Bill 32,  which will extend and expand the state’s emissions reduction goals, moving the important bill a big step closer to becoming law. “Our climate change efforts are proof California can be progressive and prosperous at the same time,” said Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount). “California has proven that economic growth and strong environmental laws are not mutually exclusive, the state’s economy has flourished as our air and water quality has improved,” said Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella), who presented SB 32 to the Assembly and authored its companion bill AB 197.  Here’s more from some of the Assembly Democrats who led the charge to pass SB 32 in this Assembly Access video.
