(South Gate) — Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) hosted friends, family and guests from the 63rd Assembly District and surrounding areas for a celebration of the L.A. River and the inaugural Resilience Bike Ride along the river at Hollydale Park in South Gate. Speaker Rendon emphasized the importance of the community’s voice in implementing Assembly Bill 530, his legislation passed in 2015 which begins a collaborative process for restoration of the lower portion of the L.A.
