(Sacramento) – Assemblywoman Autumn Burke (D-Inglewood) joined the rest of the Select Committee on Health Care Delivery Systems and Universal Coverage at the State Capitol for two days hearings on improving access to and the delivery of health care. The Committee will also be holding additional hearings throughout the state. She says the issue is “incredibly personal” to her, “I was six months pregnant when I lost my first baby. And, as it turns out, that makes me not eligible for health insurance.”  Here’s more from Assemblywoman Burke in this Assembly Access video.
