SACRAMENTO – On Saturday, July 30th, Assemblywoman Autumn R. Burke (D-Inglewood) welcomed over 1,000 adults and children to her second annual health and wellness fair in Lawndale, California.  In addition to the vision and hearing screenings, raffle, information booths, live music, and group activities, Assemblymember Burke gave away over 500 backpacks stocked with school supplies for school-aged children.

“It’s back-to-school season and events like this help our kids get off to a good start,” said Burke.  “From basic school supplies to eyeglasses, we were able to pull together resources in the community to get families the help they need.”
